Your money
Refunds and disputes
2026-08-09 · in effectYou paid $99 USD, once, for one case. Here is where you stand if you want that money back.
1. If you have not logged an entry
Ask within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund you in full. You do not need to give a reason.
Your file starts with one entry already in it — the read you carried in from the triage. That one does not count. Neither does typing your plan. What counts is an entry you wrote yourself. If your file holds none, the refund stands.
2. If you have logged entries
Then we do not refund as a matter of course, and it is fair to say why. What you bought was a record. Once you have written into it, we have given you the thing — timestamped, chained, and exportable, permanently.
Ask anyway if something has gone wrong. We read every one. A policy is not the same as a person refusing to listen.
3. If you paid twice
A back button, a payment that looked like it failed. Tell us and we will refund the duplicate in full, whenever you notice it. There is no window on this one.
4. If something on our side failed
If the service was unavailable for a long stretch, or something we built did not work and we could not fix it, that is ours to carry. Tell us. This is not restricted to the first 14 days.
5. If you delete your case
Deleting is immediate and irreversible, and it does not refund you on its own. If you are thinking about a refund, ask before you delete. Export before you delete either way — we cannot recover a deleted record, and neither can anyone else.
6. Your right to withdraw
Separately from anything on this page, consumers have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. Because Fairhanded gives you access immediately, checkout asks you to consent to that and to acknowledge that consenting ends the right. Section 4 of the Terms sets out how that works.
The policy on this page is ours, offered on top of the law. It takes nothing away from any right you have by statute.
7. Before you contact your bank
Email us before you raise a dispute with your card issuer. Section 4 of the Terms sets out what happens if you do — what your statement reads, what we send your issuer, what we do not send, and what becomes of your access while the dispute runs. That is the one place it is stated.
8. How to ask
Email privacy@fairhanded.com from the address you bought with, or tell us which address you used. We answer within one working day. Once issued, a refund reaches your card in five to ten working days, depending on your bank.
9. What a refund does
A refund closes your case and ends your access to it. Anything you exported before then stays yours — the export is a file you hold, and it does not stop working when we stop being involved.
